What is Soph's Outfit Editor?
Soph's Outfit Editor (also known as Soph's Avi Loader) is a free online tool for editing 3DXChat .avatar files. Load an outfit, change clothing and supported material settings, then download an edited .avatar file.
Are avatar editor, outfit editor, bug avatar and glitch avatar the same thing?
In this context, yes. People use different names, but they all refer to editing the same 3DXChat .avatar file to change items, layers, slots or hidden outfit data.
What can I change?
You can select clothing, move items between slots, adjust hider settings, and edit supported colors, opacity, metallic, glow, materials and prints. Each slot holds one item; available controls depend on the item and avatar.
Can I make layered or glitch outfits?
You can experiment with clothing in different slots and adjust hider settings. These combinations are sometimes called layered, bug or glitch outfits. The editor does not add new meshes or guarantee how a combination will look in the game.
How do I load and save an avatar?
Choose one .avatar file, up to 10 MB. After editing, select Save Changes to download a file with _edited added to its original name. Keep your original file and check the result in 3DXChat.
Does everything stay in my browser?
No. Files are sent to the server for decryption, and edited data is sent back for encryption. Loading also sends decrypted avatar data to the statistics service, which stores extracted configuration data and hashes. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need an account or installation?
No account or desktop installation is required. Soph's Outfit Editor is free to use in your browser.
