Soph's Outfit Editor sends your .avatar file to the server for decryption. When you save, edited avatar data is sent for encryption. These application routes process file contents in memory rather than saving the original file as an upload.
Loading an avatar also sends the decrypted data to our statistics service. It stores extracted clothing, material, color, hair, accessory and appearance settings, an upload hash used to recognize repeated files, and a hash derived from the request IP address. Item and material records are updated from this information. This processing is not limited to anonymous aggregate counters.
The editor does not currently provide a statistics opt-out or automatic deletion control. If you do not want this configuration data processed, do not upload the file. Contact us for questions about retained data or deletion requests.
No account is required. The editor keeps the current editing state, including the decrypted avatar data, in this browser tab (session storage) until you close the tab or close the file in the editor. Server requests include connection information, and server infrastructure may maintain access or error logs. The editor's statistics collection is described above.
